DroneViewer 1.3.0 released for Mac and Windows

Earthshine Software is pleased to announce that DroneViewer 1.3.0 is now available on our website and has the following new enhancements:

Improvements and Bug Fixes:

• [macOS] Now DroneViewer is built for both Intel and Apple Silicon-based Macs!
• Fixed issues with Weather widget in Data Dashboard not working. Switched to using VisualCrossing instead of the defunct DarkSky.
• [macOS] Fixed issue with Google Map option not working correctly.
• [Windows] The above fix for Google Maps does not work on the Windows version of DroneViewer so the Google Maps option has been removed and replaced with MapQuest.
• Fixed issue with GeoTags not appearing on Map view. This was due to Google deprecating the geotag image icon source. Switched to a new icon provider.
• MAY work with Mavic Pro 3 SRT files now. Functionality hasn’t been fully tested yet.
• Fixed bug in which Show Fullscreen mode would not work correctly.
• Added ability to “Clean Up” all sub-windows. Selecting “Clean Up” from the Windows menu will gather the Dashboard, Graph, Map, and Control Center windows around the Main Window. To control whether the Dashboard and Graph windows appear above or below the Main Window, simply move the Dashboard window anywhere above or below the Main Window before selecting “Clean Up”. Similarly, place the Dashboard window to the left or right of the Main Window to make the Dashboard clean up to the left or right. The Control Center and Map windows will clean up to the left or right of the Main Window depending on where the Control Center window was before the Clean Up command was issued. Similarly, the Control Center window will clean up to the top or bottom depending on where it was relative to the Main Window before the Clean Up command was issued.

• Fixed bug in which lat/lon errors in data stream could cause DroneViewer to crash if the Dashboard display is visible.
• Fixed bug in which compass drone would disappear when a video was loaded.
• DroneViewer will now process GoPro videos that have a file timestamp in year 1999 (an indicator that the user did not set the GoPro’s time/date).
• Fixed bug that would delete the wrong geotag under certain conditions.
• Replaced black “up” and “down” arrow icons in main window with new blue ones.

Bug Fixes:

• Embedded SRT format: No longer require the videos to have uppercase .MOV or .MP4 extensions.

We are pleased to announce that DroneViewer 1.1.3 is now available on our website and has the following new enhancements:

New Features:

• Alt-Return, F11, and Cmd-F (Mac) or Ctrl-F (Win) will all toggle fullscreen mode
• The spacebar-to-pause/resume feature now works even if the main window is not in the forefront.

General Improvements:

• The Time Preferences have been simplified. The Auto-Fix Time Offsetbutton, the Always Auto-Fix Time Offsetbutton, and the Time Offsetfield have all been removed. These have been replaced with a Time Bias The Time Bias allows you to fine-tune the synchronization of the video with the drone’s map position. In most cases this can be left at ‘0’ seconds.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed crash that could occur if all graph y values were identical.

We are pleased to announce that DroneViewer 1.1.2 is now available on our website and has the following new enhancements:

New Features:

• Added compatibility with the SRT files produced by the DJI Mavic 2 Pro using firmware version 01.00.0200. Note that altitude data is missing from the SRT file, so altitude graphs are not available. Hopefully, DJI will update its SRT file format to include altitude in the future.
• The Registered version will now display up to 66 minutes of GoPro lat/lon/alt data. Previously, the Registered version would only show 1 minute of GoPro data.

Bug Fixes:

• Improved synchronization between video and data.
